Mount Crisimo - Cave of Corruccio
Your experience will begin at our bike Point in Giardini Naxos. We will prepare the bikes according to your size and needs. After the initial briefing, we will transfer you to the starting point.
The first part of the track is almost entirely off-road with lava paving stones and lava sand. This route is of medium difficulty level. We will cross the area of Mount Crisimo followed by a photo stop and rest. Our journey continues in the direction of the oldest secular pine tree on Mount Etna, the Zappinazzu. It is a must that we stop to admire this! We will be submerged in the area of Ragabo pinewood forest and go through Piano Pernicana until we arrive at one of the most destructive lava flows of the last 25 years on the Northern side of the volcano (year 2002). The next point of interest on our Etna tour is an amazing lava flowing cave named after the mountain in which it is located - Cave of Corruccio. Our light lunch awaits us at Rifugio Ragabo. After lunch, we will commence the long descent of 18 km on the tarmacked road returning to our starting point. We will then head back to base in our vehicle.
This tour is rated medium-high difficulty level on standard bikes and medium-low difficulty level for the E-bikes.
During this adventure we will have some short but steep hills and dirt tracks with the presence of volcanic sand. However no special technical ability is required.

ERUZIONE DEL 1928 & GROTTA DELLA NEVE
Your experience will begin with collection directly from your accommodation, we will prepare the bikes according to your size and needs. During the journey we will brief you on the day's events, on arrival at our starting point you will note the picturesque scenery of the 1928 lava flow. From here we will start our journey off road following the black lava stone trail, used in the world renowned “Etna Marathon” event, which takes place every year along this route. We will continue for approximately 400 metres surrounded by unspoiled nature, riding single track up to one of the most unusual caves of Mount Etna. They call it the Snow Cave, where during the winter period it was used to store ice, which in turn was sold during the summer.
After a brief stop to visit the Cave, we will make our way towards the black desert of Mount Etna. We will go through the last powerful lava flow, which in 2002 destroyed Rifugio Piano Provenzana, until we reach the pinewood Ragabo, where we will stop for some light lunch.
After lunch, on our bikes we will carry out our descent on tarmacked roads back to base.

Etna easy Downhill
In this Etna easy downhill tour we aim to bring out the child in you! A unique experience for all those who have knowledge of riding a mountain bike.
Your cycling guide will collect you from your accommodation in our vehicle with all the bikes and necessary equipment already loaded, at a pre-arranged time that will have been confirmed during the booking process.
During the journey which will take us to our starting point at the top of the north side of Mount Etna "Rifugio Piano Provenzana", you will have the opportunity to listen to our stories of Mamma Etna. Once we arrive at our destination at an altitude of 1900 metres above sea level you will have the opportunity to get to know your mountain bike, at this point we are ready for our Etna Easy Downhill tour. The journey is approximately 40 km of pure adrenaline and fun, we will spend 50% off road and 50% on tarmacked roads, which will take us from the top of the highest volcano in Europe down to sea level.
During the journey we will see lava caves, birch and larch pine forests, old and new lava trails created over the millennia by the various flows and many shelters scattered throughout.

Easy E-mtb Ragabo-Timparossa
E-Bike tour designed for those who have little experience with mountain bikes and would prefer to spend only part of their day carrying out physical activity discovering new adventures.
We will either collect you from your accommodation or meet you directly at the starting point "Rifugio Ragabo", 1420 metres above sea level. Here you will meet your private cycling guide, who will carry out a short briefing on how to use your bike. We will help you adjust the saddle and regulate your helmet. We will then set off to explore the beautiful unspoiled nature through part of the high mountain track of Etna.
Travelling approximately 11 kilometres within the Etna Park crossing many lava trails old and new. Our journey takes us through dense pine woods and millenary birch forests naturally terraced on the Etna hills.
Arriving at Piano Dammusi approximately 1760 metres above sea level where the longest eruption ever recorded is visible, lasting around 10 years and today it is known as "Lava Cordata". Our turning point will be at the Refuge Timaparossa at approximately 1800 metres above sea level. After a brief photo stop we will start the long descent back to our starting point .

Collection from your accommodation is included except on the Ragabo-Timaparossa tour. You will be collected directly with all the necessary equipment at a pre-arranged time established during the booking process.
These tours will be carried out by expert cycling guides, speaking Italian, English and Spanish with a deep knowledge of the local area.
We recommend booking this experience in advance to avoid disappointment, we require at least two days notice, bookings are subject to availability.
